Inktober 15: The Grave of Shane MacGowan

shane

Fear not, lovely punkers, Shane MacGowan is not dead yet. But when he does kick off, I imagine it will be kicking AND screaming, and probably smashing with pub trays.

Text is from the lyrics of “The Sickbed of Cuchulainn:”

Then they’ll take you to Cloughprior and shove you in the ground
But you’ll stick your head back out and shout “We’ll have another round”
At the graveside of Cuchulainn we’ll kneel around and pray
And god is in his heaven, and Billy’s down by the bay

IT Crowd

Here are watercolor sketches of the four main characters on The IT Crowd: Moss, Roy, Jen, and Douglas. I painted them on 12/12/12! The paper didn’t take the paint very well, so the colors came out kind of mottled.

“Overnumerousness,” a Moss line from the Countdown episode.

Roy’s refrain throughout the series: “Hello, IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?”

One of Jen’s euphemisms in the Aunt Irma episode: “I’ve fallen to the Communists.”

“You there, computer man! Fix my pants!” is from the “Tramps Like Us” episode, which may be the funniest thing I’ve seen, ever. I think Douglas was actually wearing a jacket and tie in that scene, but I drew him in just a shirt.

Tnetennba

Watercolor of Richard Ayoade and Katherine Parkinson as Moss and Jen on The IT Crowd. A tnetennba is a docile, furry creature that can be kept as a pet, and worn in a variety of ways.

(No, not really.)
